What’s in store for the winners?

Along with our friends at Celebrity Cruises, we have come up with a DAZZLING array of reasons for you to enter and become one of our Faces of Travel 2009.

Here’s just a taste of what’s in store for our WINNERS/FINALISTS*:

• The spotlights were on Ryan and Karen during the TTG Travel Awards in September as they soaked up the applause from the audience

  16 finalists (four from each age/sex category) get to attend launch celebrations of Celebrity Equinox in Southampton on Saturday, July 25*. This is likely to include early embarkation, a spectacular Sail Away party, unique theatre performance and stunning musical performance with special guests, fantastic glass blowing demos (with the opportunity to keep a specially-designed piece), personal portraits, private ship tour, cocktail drinks and gala dinner, plus overnight deluxe stateroom accommodation

• All finalists will have an opportunity to meet with the Face of Travel judging panel to wow them in five minutes and convince them why they should win. The panel will include TTG editor Lucy Huxley and news editor/cruise reporter Lee Hayhurst, plus from Celebrity Cruises, brand manager Jessica Morgan, trade marketing manager James Neal and head of field sales Michael English. The winners will be announced before dinner

• All presentations will be filmed by Travel TV and appear on TTGlive and 500 Travel TV screens around the UK

• Finalists will have the chance to visit Celebrity Equinox's onboard solarium, similar to that on Celebrity Solstice (pictured)

  All 16 finalists will get a pampering treat in the ship's AquaSpa® by Elemis® ahead of the big night. The eight female finalists will get a spa treatment while the eight male finalists are treated to a massage

• The two winners will then be crowned the Faces of Travel 2009 and pose for pictures to appear in TTG and TTGlive

• Each winner will get a 14-night Europe and Mediterranean cruise for two on Celebrity Eclipse (the first Celebrity ship to be based in Southampton) sometime in 2010

• They are both invited with a guest to attend the naming ceremony of Eclipse in April 2010.

• They both come as guests of honour to our prestigious TTG Travel Awards. Overnight accommodation is provided and winners can each bring a guest

• They are both invited to the launch of Celebrity Eclipse, the date and location of which are still to be announced

• They are both invited to a ship visit and lunch onboard sister cruise line Royal Caribbean International's Independence of the Seas in Southampton this summer

• They are both invited as guests of Celebrity Cruises to Chester Races this summer

• Karen and Ryan joined our team of Roving Readers at the Abta Travel Convention 2008 in Gran Canaria. Pictured here: Karen (top row, second from right) and Ryan (bottom row, second from left)

  They will both attend this year's Abta Travel Convention in Barcelona from October 6-8 as Roving Readers and report back for TTG

• Both winners will receive a VIP Celebrity goody bag featuring items such as luxury Elemis® products and a mini bottle of champers

• They both become TTG Roving Readers and ambassadors for Celebrity Cruises - writing about Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse, other Royal Carribean Cruise Line brand launches, Celebrity Cruises training, TTG Travel Awards, Abta convention, plus anything they go to/do in relation to TTG/Celebrity during the 12 months they are our representatives. These will be used on TTGlive and in relevant features in TTG

• They will both get their own blog on the Cruise landing page on TTGlive.com which will also be featured on Celebrity’s cruisingforexcellence.co.uk website
  
  
• In addition to the VIP treatment at the final onboard Celebrity Equinox, all 16 finalists will get exclusive membership to an online training forum hosted by Celebrity, giving special access to knowledge sharing in the form of ship visits, plus information and photos of Royal Carribean Cruise Line brands. This is bespoke to Face of Travel finalists only

For our VOTERS and ENTRANTS

• If you’ve put yourself forward to enter, or been good enough to support your colleagues and vote for them to be crowned Face of Travel 2009, there’s still a chance that you could go home with a luxury prize too! All votes will be entered into a draw and one lucky winner will receive a VIP spa treatment day courtesy of Celebrity Cruises
