I decided to set up my own agency in October 2008 even though I had very little industry experience. I have a background in freelance journalism and travel writing, but wanted to focus travel into all areas of my work because I am so passionate about it.
I was thrilled when my application to the TTA was accepted, and I have also had the privilege of being a TTG Roving Reader to report at the ABTA Travel Convention in Gran Canaria last year!
I am a one-woman band – I've created my own website, do my accounts and tax, learnt the ropes in dealing with enquiries, and do my own PR and marketing. The ambition and determination that has got me this far is why I think I should be the Face of Travel 2009!
