Face of Travel. If this is a beauty contest then I really do regret those years as a paper boy!
If this is a contest to represent the people of the industry then I will force myself to attend all of those parties and events on behalf of others. Please no objections, I insist!
It is my personal promise to report back with a humorous edge and make my TTG reports a pleasure to read. I am sure I can find a personality along the way and if that fails then I will take credit for other people's jokes!
OK let's get serious. I have been in the travel industry since 1994 and have worked in retail, call centres and I am now a home-based Personal Travel Consultant for Hays Travel.
2009 is going to be an exciting year for my travel career as soon I will be launching a new travel home-working company. Becoming the Face of Travel would be the icing on the cake in a year where I will be living my dream.
I am 32 years old, 5ft 10, blue eyes, dark brown hair (not much grey), RSOH (rubbish sense of humour), passionate, caring and loving.
You may feel this is a personal advert and rather inappropriate. You would be right but actually I am all of the above and I am passionate about travel, I care about travel and I love travel.
So why do I want to be the Face of Travel?
Well, apart from wanting to share my freakish good looks with you all, I am seeing an opportunity to justify adding to my wardrobe during an apparent credit crunch!
OK back to being serious. If I am honest I see it as a fantastic opportunity to meet with respected people of the travel industry. I feel the experience will enhance my knowledge and provide me with a greater understanding of the industry. This will be beneficial personally, to my clients and to my work force. It would be an honour to represent the travel industry by writing reports for TTG readers.
